Terms of Use

This is a standard Terms of Use template, written to accurately reflect how Talismos actually works today. It does not replace review by a lawyer before it counts as a definitive contractual term — we recommend that review before relying on it in production.

1. Acceptance

By creating a Talismos account, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't create an account or use the API.

2. What Talismos is

Talismos is an API platform for divination software. Today it calculates natal astrology charts (planets, houses, angles, and aspects) from birth date, time, and location, returning the result as JSON. Tarot, numerology, and other systems may be added in the future.

The content generated is divinatory/interpretive in nature and does not constitute medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice. Important decisions should not be based solely on astrological charts or similar calculations.

3. Account and responsibilities

• You're responsible for keeping your email and password secure, and for all activity under your account.
• An account is personal or belongs to a single organization — don't share a login between unrelated parties.
• You're responsible for keeping your API keys (talismos_live_...) secret. We only store a hash of the key, not the key itself — if you lose it, you'll need to generate a new one.
• You must provide a valid email and a password at least 8 characters long.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the API for unlawful purposes or to violate third parties' rights.
• Attempt to bypass your plan's call limit (quota), including creating multiple accounts for that purpose.
• Reverse-engineer the calculation engine or attempt to extract the internal ephemeris library.
• Deliberately overload our infrastructure (denial-of-service attacks, aggressive scraping beyond the documented burst limits).

Violations may lead to account suspension or termination, without prior notice in cases of clear abuse.

5. Plans and billing

• The Free plan is free and requires no credit card.
• Paid plans (Maker, Pro) are billed monthly via Stripe. We never see or store your card number — that's handled entirely by Stripe.
• You can change plans, update your payment method, or cancel at any time from the dashboard.
• There's no prorated refund for mid-cycle cancellation — access to the paid plan continues until the end of the already-paid period.

6. Service availability

We make a best effort to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee a formal SLA (service level agreement) at this stage of the product. Maintenance and instability may occur.

7. Termination

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard — this permanently deletes your data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate section 4.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil.
